He is an influential informant and arms dealer who has extensive connections to the Russian political elite, criminal organizations, the military and the underworld. Thanks to his influence and resources, he is able to move freely in environments that are difficult for others to reach. When South Korean National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent Kwon Taekjoo is sent to Moscow to investigate the secret weapons project "Anastasia", Zhenya becomes his partner and local informant. Even though he helped out several times, he never really sided with anyone other than himself. Behind his relaxed and humorous smile, Zhenya hides a manipulative, cruel and unpredictable nature. His attraction to Taekjoo slowly turns into obsession, drawing both of them into a dangerous psychological game.
