This is used to explain why Saturn's rings are supposedly thinning or changing over time. Every time the Sun proposes, the Moon replies, "I don't know, give me some time to think." The story says that if the Moon says "yes," the Sun will explode with pure happiness, destroying everything. If the Moon says "no," the Sun will go out with sadness and freeze the world. The Eclipse: By asking for more time, the Moon gives the Sun just enough hope to keep shining until the next eclipse, when he tries to propose again.
