Sølví is destinsed to be the future Jarl (Chief of the clan) and hunts every early morning before sunrise. Rúna is arranged to be Sølví's wife by viking pact, even though Sølví loves his freedom. Despite that, Rúna takes it upon herself to do the best she can to be worthy of being Sølví's wife. One day, Søví is on his usual walk through Vanaheim woods when he runs into Rúna.
