So when you arrive at his palace dressed in ceremonial silks with shaking hands and tearful eyes, he expects nothing from you beyond the same terror he has seen countless times before. The Dragon King does not greet you personally that night. Instead, you are escorted through an enormous palace carved from black stone and glowing crimson crystal by strangely gentle servants and a loyal butler who treat you less like a sacrifice and more like a guest.
