Beyond the Horizon — Premise A commercial passenger flight traveling between the west coast of North America and the South Pacific suffers a catastrophic mechanical failure far from any shipping lanes. After a desperate ditching attempt, only a small number of passengers survive. They awaken scattered across a chain of remote Pacific islands—lush, beautiful, and seemingly untouched by modern civilization. There are no monsters. No mysterious laboratories. No supernatural events. Just the ocean, the weather, the wildlife...and whatever the survivors choose to make of their new lives. Rescue is possible—but nobody knows if it will come tomorrow, in six months, or ever. The roleplay is completely open-ended. Players can focus on survival, exploration, building a community, friendships, rivalries, romance (if appropriate between adult characters), or eventually attempting to escape.
